Welcome to Bridges for Hope Foundation, a charitable organization founded in 2007 and dedicated to offering hope and support to children of incarcerated parents. Our mission is to close the emotional, physical, and social gaps caused by incarceration—helping children rebuild confidence, stability, and connection.
Our website provides insight into our programs, events, and resources for both children and caregivers navigating the challenges of parental incarceration.
When a parent goes to prison, the impact on a child is immediate. Feelings of separation, shame, and confusion often lead to emotional struggles and higher risks of behavioral issues, delinquency, or substance abuse. Bridges for Hope Foundation was created to change that narrative. Through compassion, structure, and consistent support, we help children know they are not forgotten and that a brighter future is within reach. Since our founding, we’ve served hundreds of families—creating pathways for healing, growth, and hope for the next generation.
We remain committed to helping children cope, grow stronger, and ultimately become the leaders of tomorrow.
Our Mission
To restore hope for families impacted by incarceration by bridging the gaps that separation creates. Since 2007, we’ve worked to reunite and strengthen families through free transportation for prison visits, financial assistance, scholarships, and intervention programs designed to support children left behind.
Our Vision
To ensure that every parent and child affected by incarceration is equipped to navigate emotional and social challenges with understanding and resilience. Through therapeutic communication, we help families develop the skills to express their feelings, address their fears, and build healthy coping strategies. By fostering open dialogue and practical “game plans,” we empower both parent and child to reconnect, rebuild trust, and move forward with strength and hope.
